Killed by the Ethiopian soldiers. He got killed with his two brothers, Zeray Gebremeskel and Gebremedhin Gebremeskel. He and his two brothers were trying to escape from their home to nearby caves when they heard gunshots, they collected food from their home and loaded it into their camels. Suddenly, the Ethiopian soldiers arrived and killed the three brothers blaming them for "bringing food to the Juntas".
