Civilians killed by Tigrayan forces.
According to the Amhara governement, Tigray militia rounded up and executed over 119 civilians after sustaining heavy battle losses in days long fighting. The federal government puts the numbers of civilians killed at 200.
Human Rights Watch spokes with witnesses and relatives and found that at least 26 civilians were executed. They collected a list of 83 people that were reported to be killed.
The Ethiopian Human Rights Commission states the number of people killed to be at least 47. Some of those killed had their hands tied behind their backs, others were killed inside their homes. As government forces approached the area, retreating Tigray Forces indiscriminately killed civilians in homes and neighborhoods.
